New EP and other events is getting a facelift. It’s not a trick website or anything. I’ve been in the process of putting together an EP (that I’m really excited about). I want things to match.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with some amazingly talented people in my career, and with their talent and participation, I think something really special is formulating. I also have been mapping out my “2012 live shows” plan – ie: making it happen, doing it legally, and getting people to come! I’m one girl, but I’ve got to tell you… in moments of being overwhelmed, I look to Joan of Arc, Amelia Earhart and Tina Turner. I think I’ve got this covered…

I shot a video for one of my new tracks entitled “Skipping Stone” in NY last weekend. I feel so lucky that I’ve surrounded myself with such brilliant, creative friends – it was a really special experience to feel so much trust and fearlessness amongst them.

For those who connect to my music, I’m going to be involving you to help me get to you live… but I’ll explain more when I get to that bridge.

I just had a wonderful birthday. I’m 25 and a quarter short.
Be well.

    Good night Al!

Well, those are wonderful news! I’m sure the EP will be incredibly good beyong measure, just as all your previous material. Can’t wait to see which songs will be on it! In the meantime, keep doing what you do best: living life like music!

My best wishes tonight and always.

I’m looking forward to seeing the new website. The “Skipping Stone” video is going to be really cool, can’t wait for that. I don’t even have idea what the concept would be. The new EP is something I’m really looking forward to also. I’m wondering what songs were included on it.

    Happy Birthday Alexz!

I can’t wait to see your new music video. “Skipping Stone” is a great song.

Tell me your going to try to do a show in Milwaukee, WI? There is a great music festival at the end of June called Summerfest. It’s one of the biggest music festivals in the world. I think it would be a great place for you to get your music out there.

Can’t wait to hear the new EP as well. Will it be more like your Reloaded album or Voodoo?

I’m proud of you. Keep up the great work!

I have been researching several ways for you to get your music out there and have been emailing several blogs to give you some sort of exposure. It’s a tough job when they probably think I’m spamming them but I’m doing what I can to get your music out there!!
In the mean time, I’ve been doing some reading on how indie artists can get their music out there on their own. You should really check out it’s a great tool that allows you to sell your music and merch all in one site. It’s actually better than MySpace because when people look you up, they are automatically linked to your iTunes albums as well and they can purchase them directly from the site! Give it a shot, its a great tool that many indie artists have used to gain some exposure. In the mean time I’ll do what I can to help you out ;).
Can’t wait for the new EP and video, It’s gonna be a good one I can tell. Glad your filling us in! Skipping Stone is a great choice for a single!

  15. I always look forward to an Alexz track. Recently me and a girl have been debating her love of Jack Johnson and my love of Alexz Johnson…. I say put them together and see what kind of music we get…. That would be interesting. She called it Johnson & Johnson LOL…. But I can’t wait for the EP, and about coming to us live… I hope to see you at The Independent in SF soon… Liv ya AJ

  18. I love your music. It speaks to me, and I’ve been telling everyone I know about Voodoo and Reloaded. I’ve gotten a few people to buy your albums. For me today was a strange kind of day, and I saw the post to your facebook page and ended up listening to Skipping Stone. It’s wonderfully beautiful and beautifully wonderful. It made my night. I can’t wait to hear more from you. Stay amazing.

  19. I’ll do lot to bring you to Europe, to Poland, many ppl are waiting here for you.
They may be hidden but still they’re.

Waiting to see Skipping Stone EP! And Alexz don’t give up even if you can’t see light at the end of tunnel. Maybe your light has delay but if it comes it will be powerful! Always remember that you’re talented. :)
